Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why should I incorporate Twist Pilates and Mobility into my training?

A:  Twist Pilates is a non-competitive, non-judgemental, nurturing environment dedicated to providing exceptional, world-class training to our students. We recognize that no single body or injury is the same and our approach to training is as unique as every single one of our clients

Q: I’m new to Pilates. What’s the best option for me?

A: There is a new client package for just $199 that will give you a taste of what Twist Pilates has to offer. This package includes 2 private Pilates sessions, and 4 group training sessions.  This package can only be purchased once per individual client.

Q:  What is the difference between Pilates and Yoga?

A: This is a tough question (and my answer will change depending on my mood usually!!). Yoga is foundationally a spiritual practice which has been practiced for thousands of years. There are poses which are to be held for a series of time or breaths before moving onto the next pose. Yoga is primarily practiced on a yoga mat with elements passive stretching. Pilates was only invented around 100 years ago, with no spiritual aspects. Pilates can be practiced on a mat similar to Yoga, but a Pilates mat is thicker to protect the spine during certain exercises. Pilates has multiple pieces of apparatus which use spring resistance. Pilates doesn’t have poses, instead you perform exercises guided by a set of principles to ensure you have the least amount of unnecessary tension while working out.

Q: Is there an expiration date on packages and classes?

A: Yes. We ask that you commit to yourself and to Twist Pilates. All 10-packs have a 4 month expiration from the first day of use. Monthly memberships have a 30 day expiration.   All packages are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Q: What do I wear?

A: Socks are a must for every class! Please ensure you bring a pair of clean socks to change into, even if you are wearing socks with your footwear that day.  Fitted clothing will ensure that nothing gets caught or snagged on the equipment.  Men may be more comfortable in pants or a tight fitted short under a looser fit. We do some exercises with legs our legs in the air, so for your comfort level and ours, baggy shorts are not recommended.

Q: How many classes should I take a week?

A:  To see maximum results, we recommend at least 2-3 sessions a week. Simply put, your body will adapt based on the frequency of your workouts. The more you do, the faster you’ll see results

Q: How do I sign up for classes?

A: You can register and pay for all sessions online. Click the “Book Now” tab at the top of this page to take you to the booking page. If you want to sign up for a class, but it is full, check the schedule with less than 24 hours before your desired class as

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A:  Because of the exclusivity of our sessions, we require a 24 hour cancellation policy.  There are no exceptions to this policy. This will give someone else the chance to workout in your place if you need to miss your session.  If you cancel in less than 24 hours, you will be charged the full amount of the session missed.  Monthly Membership holders will be charged $20 for any no-show or late cancellation.
